tibetan_monks_and_wendy_in_Shambhala_(Small).jpg
Here is a photo taken in early October 2010, of me with the 2 Tibetan monks who stayed with us over the Bellingen Global Carnival. We are standing by the beautiful mosaic sign at the entrance to our property called "Shambhala", which is the name of the Tibetan heaven or paradise. The sign was made several years ago by myself and Cate Edwards, a ceramicist and artist, who is also part of our community. A few other members helped with the project too.

Shambhala is a community of about 20 people, on a beautiful 600 acre block of land, just out of Bellingen, a small town on the North Coast of NSW, Australia. It in a small pocket with a definite alternate character in the midst of what used to be a dairy and timber area.

Here is a picture of our "hand-made" house "in the bush".
